Margo Schultz is a portrait artist based in Asheville, North Carolina, working primarily in oil and charcoal. My goal is always to capture the personality and spirit of each person I paint.

I’m currently available for portrait commissions.

Lorem Ipsum Dolor Set,

Although I’m a self-taught artist, I’ve spent years dedicated to refining my craft. Over time, my focus has always remained the same—I've been far more fascinated by the people I paint than by technique alone. It’s the connection, the story, and the individual behind each portrait that continues to draw me in.

Portrait Society of America

Continually developing skills, engaging with national portrait artists, and participating in professional development within the portraiture community.

Local Exhibitor

Showcased original portrait work in a respected local gallery, contributing to the Asheville arts scene.

Collaborative Work

Regularly paints and draws alongside regional artists including Rich Nelson and Caleb Clark, fostering creative growth and shared techniques.

Today, I focus on creating commissioned oil portraits and continue to grow my body of personal work. I’m also actively involved in the Asheville arts community, where I regularly participate in group painting sessions and local exhibitions. In addition, I am currently developing a collection that explores character and expression through direct, alla prima oil studies.
